Each week for Mason & Guests I compile and broadcast a brief summary of cricket events outside the Caribbean, with a few “Did You Know, Andrew?” facts thrown in. Here’s this week’s round-up:

“The Test series between Pakistan & South Africa ended in a 1-1 draw. SA won the 2nd Test by an innings & 92 runs, built around Graeme Smith’s 234 & AB de Villiers’ 164, & Imran Tahir’s match figures of 8-130. Did You Know, Andrew that de Villiers’ innings has moved him to the top of the ICC’s Test batting rankings?

“The match was overshadowed by Faf du Plessis pleading guilty to ball tampering in Pakistan’s 2nd innings – caught on camera rubbing it across his zipper on his trousers, he was fined half his match fee. The sides now play 5 ODIs & 2 T20s.” Continue reading
