Within the last half hour Reds Perreira has reported on Voice of Barbados radio the following:
“It has been decided in a meeting finishing at 1 o’clock this morning that there’ll be no victimisation of the players; that Wavell Hinds will continue to represent the Players’ Association (WIPA); that the MOU will go back to the table; that a Task Force has been set up to deal with the Indian Board and other matters facing the US$42m demanded by the BCCI; and the Task Force named, according to a source, Sir David Simmons, Sir Wesley Hall and Kenneth Lalla, a Trinidadian lawyer. We will now await to see whether the West Indies selectors will meet to select a team for the South Africa tour.”
